Looking Back at my Wedding Day
Part 2

Welcome back everyone! I'm excited for this post because it's more about my wedding. It's so many decisions that you make when planning your big day, and I'm excited to share more about my vendors.

You can't get married without picking a location. Whether it's your parents backyard, or on the beach, it's one of the first decisions you have to make. My husband and I both liked the Pioneer Park Pavilion located in downtown Puyallup. My husband prefers modern looks, and this venue was the perfect mix of a rustic modern. With the vaulted ceilings, glass garage doors, and wood beams it just felt perfect for our wedding day. Although a downside is we were unable to set up the day prior to the wedding. We didn't have much for decorations to set up, so we had plenty of time the day of.

Our photographer was another big choice my husband and I had to make. We chose "Laura Angel Photography" to take our wedding photos. She was so communicative, and on time. She helped us with the timeline and helped us pick spots for our photos. Most of our photos were taken at Bradley Lake Park. It was about 10 minutes from our venue, so we started our day there. There was so many places to take photos there, and we had several different spots giving us different backgrounds for photos.

Who doesn't love a good wedding video that makes you cry? I know I do, and I love binge watching them on Youtube. We were lucky enough to have my good friend Nolan with "NRW Media" from high school want to capture our wedding video. It was his first, and he did AMAZING! I can't thank him enough for all the hard work he put into it. He has created skateboard videos in the past, and I knew he wanted to get into creating wedding films. He's also done one of my good friends wedding's since ours. He did so amazing and I can't thank him enough for capturing it perfectly.

Let's talk about flowers. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on floral arrangements for tables, or on our bouquets. I was very untraditional in this sense. I ordered flowers in bulk from Costco. What we ordered was white roses and lilies, assorted greenery, the boutiner assortment (they customized my order for some wrist corsages), as well as a greenery garland for the tables. When we got engaged I knew I wanted lanterns on the tables as centerpieces with greenery. This was an affordable way to get exactly what I dreamed of. We got the lanterns from Ikea, and cut the greenery for the tables.
We made the bouquets ourselves, and did go in store to find red flowers to complete my bridesmaids bouquets and to make them different from mine. They turned out perfectly for my vision, and I loved them all.

One last detail I think worth mentioning, the bridesmaid dresses. I had the help of my sister and maid of honor in choosing them. I knew I wanted a burgundy color for the wedding. She found these dresses on lulus. They were so perfect, even for a winter wedding. I just had them complete the look with nude color shoes, and gave them earrings as part of their wedding day gift to complete the look. I absolutely loved how it came out in the end. Did I mention the price? They were under $100! What a steal for a dress you'll only wear once!
